Provider’s Statement of Service(s):
LimbTech is the only mobile seating and positioning clinic in Western North Carolina. We are meeting the need for services by going to people's homes who would not be able to go to a seating/positioning clinic due to a lack of transportation. We are also keeping the healthcare needs of our community local so that patients do not need to go to Charlotte or Greenville for their seating and positioning needs (that being the nearest alternative to LimbTech for this service). Also, seeing people in their homes allows our staff to see their deficits and assist them with medical documentation to justify the medical need for a wheelchair. Our customers are anyone who is eligible for a wheelchair or any seating and positioning needs to increase their quality of life and mobility, and increase safety within their home; also anyone who participates in activities of daily living (ADL) or instrumental activities of daily living (IDL).
