Provider’s Statement of Service(s):
The instructor is certified and/or trained in programs through Asheville Yoga Center, YMCA of Hendersonville, and several online Yoga and Strong Bone training. The instructor has two decades plus of Yoga experience.
Yoga with Therapeutic Influences. A brief consultation as to what your limitations are, if any, upon registration. Each class targets Alignment & Breath Techniques, Stretches, Balance, Strength, Rotations and Rest and Relax. The body is meant to move and the class is designed to keep you safe as you move from one pose to the next. All levels of fitness are welcome. Props are available to assist you in classes.

Bone Strength
This class is designed for those with low bone density diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia. An instructor trained in movements dealing with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia is recommended.

4 principles for Bone Strength:
-Bone Building on individual bones one at a time, meaning it is site specific
-Stimulate bones with weight bearing devices (putting a load on your bone stimulates density)
-Research in building bone responds best to different stresses and new challenges.

Balance & Strength
With the aid of a chair, this class works strictly on balance, using exercise to increase muscle strength. Muscle strength improves balance. We work on a set of exercises that challenges you to work toward improving your balance. With everyday activities you'll feel more confident knowing the classes can help prevent falls, and Breath techniques to strengthen your core.

Move with the Music
This class gets you moving. It works with your flexibility, mobility, creativity, and cardio, You can follow me or move to your own creative beat.

Tai Chi for Health & QiGong
Benefits of Tai Chi are as follows:
-Improve your health to include arthritis, diabetes or other chronic conditions, adding to your quality of of life
-helps with fall prevention
-help to develop patients, tranquility, and inner balance
-Improve your Tai Chi skills
