Provider’s Statement of Service(s):
Living Healthy with Chronic Pain is a six-session series where participants learn and practice strategies to reduce/ manage chronic pain. Some of the topics and techniques we cover include: reducing stress, getting restful sleep, pacing and planning actives, evaluating treatments, communicating about pain, managing depression, increasing exercise and learning about anti-inflammatory diets. The program is designed to encourage group support for goal setting and problem-solving and action plans are created weekly to build confidence in maintaining healthy habits. The program is funded by the older Americans Act, so it's free to community members.
